Image & Data Processing

Tools2All is designed around image processing. This page explains the distinction between browser-side and server-side processing so users can make informed choices.

Browser-side processing

Whenever technically practical, an image tool may process the file directly in your browser using JavaScript, Canvas, WebAssembly or related browser capabilities. In that case, the source file does not need to be uploaded to our server for the transformation itself.

Server-side or API processing

Some advanced capabilities may require server resources or an external processing API. A tool that uses such processing should say so on the tool page. The necessary file may then be transmitted to the configured processor to complete the requested action.

Retention

For tools that process locally, Tools2All does not receive the source file for processing. For server/API tools, retention depends on the specific implementation and provider; we aim to minimize retention and document material exceptions.

Output files

Downloaded results are created for you. You are responsible for saving them safely and checking that the output meets your intended dimensions, color, quality and content requirements.

Sensitive images

Avoid submitting images containing sensitive information to any online service unless you understand the processing path and are comfortable with it. Use local-processing tools where possible for sensitive material.
